A BILL FOR AN ACT

 

 

relating to emergency services.

 

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

 


     SECTION 1.  There is appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii the sum of $700,000 or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2020-2021 to provide support for the expansion of the Kau rural health clinic to improve access to urgent care and outpatient behavior health services, thereby reducing the need for emergency services.

     The sum appropriated shall be expended by the Hawaii health systems corporation for the purposes of this Act.

     SECTION 2.  This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2020.
