RELATING TO SCHOOL HEALTH. Requires the Department of Education and Department of Health to jointly establish an interagency working group to create a comprehensive school health program. Appropriates funds. (SB841 HD1)

RELATING TO BUILDING DESIGN FOR PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES. Amends the definition of "public buildings, facilities, and sites" under section 103-50, Hawaii Revised Statutes, to, among other things, exempt from mandatory review by the disabilities and communications access board certain construction projects constructed on state or county lands that would not ordinarily be open to public access. RELATING TO HEALTH. Makes an appropriation for one advanced life support ambulance to be based in Makalei on the island of Hawaii and to be used from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., and to include a vehicle, equipment, and personnel costs. Effective 7/1/2050. (SD1)

RELATING TO HEALTH. Appropriates funds to establish an advanced life support ambulance to be based in Puna on the island of Hawaii, including the acquisition of a vehicle and equipment and personnel costs for state-certified emergency medical services personnel. Effective 7/1/2050. (SD1)

RELATING TO DENTISTRY. Requires, after January 1, 2016, the continuing education program for dentists to include three hours of ethics training per year. Specifies that the board of dental examiners may suspend or revoke any license issued under chapter 448, Hawaii Revised Statutes, for conduct or practice contrary to recognized standards of ethics of the profession, as adopted by the American Dental Association or the Hawaii Dental Association. RELATING TO IN VITRO FERTILIZATION INSURANCE COVERAGE. Provides insurance coverage equality for women who are diagnosed with infertility by making available to them expanded treatment options, ensuring adequate and affordable health care services. (SD1)

DECISION MAKING TO FOLLOW
Persons wishing to offer comments should submit testimony at least 24 hours prior to the hearing. Testimony should indicate:
· Testifier's name with position/title and organization;
· The Committee(s) to which the comments are directed;
· The date and time of the hearing; and
· Measure number.
While every effort will be made to incorporate all testimony received, materials received on the day of the hearing or improperly identified or directed, may be distributed to the Committee after the hearing.

Testimony submitted will be placed on the legislative website. This public posting of testimony on the website should be considered when including personal information in your testimony.
