RELATING TO ELECTRIC VEHICLES. Requires the board of directors of an association of apartment owners, condominium association, cooperative housing corporation, or planned community association, upon receipt of a request for the installation of an electric vehicle charging system, to make a decision to approve, or approve with reasonable restrictions, the request within sixty days. Strongly suggests the consideration by the board of documentation on transformer load capacity and an energy audit. (SB1316 HD1)

RELATING TO ACTIVITY DESKS. Requires an activity desk to designate a principal who shall be a signatory on and fully responsible for the client trust account. Specifies responsibilities regarding the designated principal. (SB743 HD1)

RELATING TO THE UNAUTHORIZED PRACTICE OF LAW. Allows a person who is not licensed or authorized to practice law in the State to provide legal services on a temporary basis in this State if the attorney provides services in association with or assists a Hawaii licensed attorney or as in-house counsel to an organization in another jurisdiction or to an affiliated entity or employee of that organization in the State. Requires the clerk of the supreme court to maintain a registry of all attorneys who are not licensed or authorized to practice law in the State, but provide services for a matter that is not being litigated in any court of the State. Makes conforming amendments to attorney licensure requirements. Effective 3/15/2038. (HD1)
