A BILL FOR AN ACT

 

 

RELATING TO TAXATION.

 

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

 


     SECTION 1.  Chapter 231, Hawaii Revised Statutes, is amended by adding a new section to be appropriately designated and to read as follows:

     "§231-     Revenue estimates.  Any revenue estimate provided by the department to the legislature or to any executive or administrative office of the State shall be accompanied by a description of the methodology used and assumptions made in providing the estimate.  The revenue estimate and description shall be a public record that is subject to public disclosure, inspection, and copying pursuant to chapter 92F."

     SECTION 2.  New statutory material is underscored.

     SECTION 3.  This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2050.

Description:
