A BILL FOR AN ACT

 

 

relating to the state historic preservation division.

 

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

 


     SECTION 1.  The department of land and natural resources state historic preservation division shall use a program comment process in the performance of its duties pursuant to chapter 6E, Hawaii Revised Statutes.

     SECTION 2.  There is appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii the sum of $           or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2021-2022 and the same sum or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2022-2023 for the department of land and natural resources state historic preservation division to conduct a study on buildings built between 1945 and 1970 that would be exempted from a program comment process.

     The sums appropriated shall be expended by the department of land and natural resources for the purposes of this Act.

     SECTION 3.  This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2021.
