RELATING TO INVASIVE SPECIES.

Appropriates funds to the Department of Land and Natural Resources for the management of the axis deer population in the county of Maui.

Status

RELATING TO INVASIVE SPECIES.

Establishes the invasive species rapid response special fund. Establishes procedures for emergency declarations and expenditures. Appropriates money.

RELATING TO INVASIVE SPECIES.

Appropriates funds to the Department of Land and Natural Resources for efforts to substantially reduce and eradicate certain invasive species in the county of Maui.

RELATING TO COFFEE BERRY BORER.

Extends the sunset date for the Coffee Berry Borer Pesticide Subsidy Program until June 30, 2025, for the purchase of pesticides containing Beauveria bassiana to combat the coffee berry borer. Extends the program manager position to June 30, 2026. Appropriates funds.

Status

RELATING TO COFFEE LABELING.

Requires coffee blend labels to disclose regional origins and percent by weight of the blended coffees. Prohibits using geographic origins of coffee in labeling or advertising for roasted or instant coffee that contains less than 51 percent coffee by weight from that geographic origin. Effective 7/1/2021.

HB 1887

Status

RELATING TO IMPORTATION OF UNROASTED COFFEE INTO HAWAII.

Prohibits the importation of unroasted coffee into the State, makes it a class C felony, and imposes a fine for violation of the prohibition. Authorizes DOA to adopt rules to allow for the importation of partially roasted coffee into the State.

Status

RELATING TO COFFEE LABELING.

Expands the coffee labeling and advertising requirements to include ready-to-drink coffee beverages and inner wrapping or packaging labels. Effective 7/1/2021.

HB 1898

Status

RELATING TO LIVESTOCK TRANSPORTATION.

Requires the Department of Agriculture to adopt rules to protect the welfare of livestock transported to, from, or between any island of Hawaii. Requires the department to adopt interim rules.
