A BILL FOR AN ACT

 

 

relating to the legislature.

 

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

 


SECTION 1. Chapter 21G, Hawaii Revised Statutes, is amended by adding a new section to be appropriately designated and to read as follows:

"21G-   Livestreaming; public hearings and informational briefings; rules. Each chamber of the legislature shall establish, by rule, procedures to enable livestreaming of all public hearings and informational briefings held at the state capitol through the use of audiovisual technology, which shall be made available to the public."

SECTION 2. New statutory material is underscored.

SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
