A BILL FOR AN ACT

 

 

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION TO STUDY THE FEASIBILITY OF COMBINING THE RESOURCES AND ORGANIZATION OF THE DEPARTMENT OF ACCOUNTING AND GENERAL SERVICES WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION ON THE ISLANDS OF KAUAI, MAUI, MOLOKAI, LANAI, AND HAWAII ISLAND.

 

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

 


     SECTION 1.  There is appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii the sum of $           or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2019-2020 for the department of education office of school facilities and support services to determine the feasibility of combining the resources and organization of the department of accounting and general services that services and maintains school buildings on the islands of Kauai, Maui, Molokai, Lanai, and Hawaii island with the department of education.

     The sum appropriated shall be expended by the department of education for the purposes of this Act.

     SECTION 2.  This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2050.

Description:

Appropriates funds for the department of education to determine the feasibility of combining the resources and organization of the department of accounting and general services with the department of education on the islands of Kauai, Maui, Molokai, Lanai, and Hawaii island.  Takes effect on 7/1/2050.  (SD1)
