RELATING TO INFRASTRUCTURE MAINTENANCE IN HOUSING SUBDIVISIONS.

Requires lot owners in housing subdivisions to pay assessments for repair and maintenance of subdivision roads to an entity approved by a majority of homeowners or appointed by a court, or to the county. Requires the counties to provide oversight and management services to assessing entities. (HB288 HD1)

RELATING TO PUBLIC SAFETY.

Requires the Director of Public Safety to develop policies and procedures to govern the use of force, including training and equipment, by deputy sheriffs. Requires the PSD Director to require less than lethal use of force training. Encourages PSD to maintain training activity records. Appropriates funds. (HB456 HD1)

RELATING TO STATE MILITARY FORCES.

Applies the protections of civil relief for state military forces to persons serving on full time National Guard duty under title 32 United States Code and to bring provisions in line with the Servicemembers Civil Relief Act, codified in 50 United States Code chapter 50 (3901-4043). (HB991 HD1)

RELATING TO MARIJUANA.

Decriminalizes the possession of 3 grams or less of marijuana and establish that the possession is an infraction punishable by a monetary fine of $200. Provides for the dismissal of criminal charges, and expungement of criminal records, pertaining solely to the possession of 3 grams or less of marijuana. Establishes a marijuana evaluation task force to make recommendations on changing marijuana use penalties and outcomes in the State. Effective 1/11/2084. (HB1383 HD2)
