A BILL FOR AN ACT

 

 

relating to grants.

 

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

 


     SECTION 1.  There is appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii the sum of $           or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2019-2020 as a grant pursuant to chapter 42F, Hawaii Revised Statutes, to Hospice of Hilo for capacity building for the community-based palliative care program.

     The sum appropriated shall be expended by the department of health for the purposes of this Act.

     SECTION 2.  There is appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii the sum of $           or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2019-2020 as a grant pursuant to chapter 42F, Hawaii Revised Statutes, to the Maui Economic Development Board, Inc., for the multifaceted science, technology, engineering, and mathematics education program for K-12 students and teachers, including curriculum, professional development, career awareness, and work-based learning.

     The sum appropriated shall be expended by the department of education for the purposes of this Act.

     SECTION 3.  There is appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii the sum of $           or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2019-2020 as a grant pursuant to chapter 42F, Hawaii Revised Statutes, to Kauai Hospice Inc., for the community-based palliative care program.

     The sum appropriated shall be expended by the department of health for the purposes of this Act.

     SECTION 4.  There is appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii the sum of $           or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2019-2020 as a grant pursuant to chapter 42F, Hawaii Revised Statutes, to the Oahu Resource Conservation and Development Council for the Windward Zero Waste School Hui.

     The sum appropriated shall be expended by the department of education for the purposes of this Act.

     SECTION 5.  This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2019.
