A BILL FOR AN ACT

 

 

relating TO THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH.

 

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

 


     SECTION 1.  There is appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii the sum of $171,534 or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2019-2020 to add three full-time equivalent (3.0 FTE) permanent positions and funds for the enforcement of non-point source water pollution (HTH840/FE) and $375,764 or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2020-2021 to add six full-time equivalent (6.0 FTE) permanent positions and funds for the enforcement of non-point source water pollution (HTH840/FE).

     SECTION 2.  There is appropriated out of the sanitation and environmental health special fund the sum of $869,444 or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2019-2020 and $1,588,349 or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2020-2021 to add fourteen full-time equivalent (14.0 FTE) permanent sanitarian positions and funds for improved food safety (HTH610/FQ).

     SECTION 3.  The sums appropriated in sections 1 and 2 shall be expended by the department of health for the purposes of this Act.

     SECTION 4.  This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2019.
