A BILL FOR AN ACT

 

 

RELATING TO CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE FORTY-ninth REPRESENTATIVE DISTRICT.

 

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

 


     SECTION 1.  The following sums, or so much thereof as shall be sufficient to finance the projects listed in this Act, are hereby appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii for fiscal year 2019-2020:

     1.   To be expended by the department of education:

     A.   Heeia elementary school, Oahu

          Design, construction, and equipment for campus drainage improvements including buildings B and C; ground and site improvements; and equipment and appurtenances.

          Total funding                            $600,000

     B.   Heeia elementary school, Oahu

          Design and construction to upgrade the fire alarm system; ground and site improvements; and equipment and appurtenances.

     C.   Heeia elementary school, Oahu

          Design, construction, and equipment to install two cattle gates at the school's entrance; ground and site improvements; and equipment and appurtenances.

     SECTION 2.  The following sums, or so much thereof as shall be sufficient to finance the projects listed in this Act, are hereby appropriated out of the state legacy land special fund of the State of Hawaii for fiscal year 2019-2020.

     1.   To be expended by the department of land and natural resources:

     A.   Kaneohe pali to loi project

          Land acquisition for phase one of the project.

          Land acquisition                         $700,000

          Total funding                            $700,000

     SECTION 3.  The sums appropriated for the respective capital projects set forth in sections 1 and 2 shall be expended by the designated expending agency for the purposes of this Act.

     SECTION 4.  This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2019.
