RELATING TO DRIVER LICENSING.

Authorizes the issuance of limited purpose driver's licenses, limited purpose provisional driver's licenses, or limited purpose instruction permits to applicants who voluntarily choose to obtain a REAL ID compliant State Civil Identification Card.  (HB1942 HD1)

RELATING TO DRIVING WHILE INTOXICATED.

Allows requests for permits that authorize the respondent or defendant to operate an employer's vehicle during the period of license revocation to be supported by the employer's sworn statement attesting to the period of the specified assigned hours of work that the defendant will drive the vehicle for purposes of employment.  (HB2003 HD1)

RELATING TO BICYCLES.

Requires the driver of a vehicle passing and overtaking a bicycle proceeding in the same direction to allow at least three feet of separation between the right side of the driver's vehicle and the left side of the bicyclist.  (HB2215 HD1)

RELATING TO TRANSPORTATION.

Authorizes the issuance of general obligation bonds for the designs, plans, materials, construction, and equipment for three capital improvement projects in the H-1 Corridor: the widening of Kualakai Parkway to Waiawa Interchange; the widening of Wahiawa Interchange to Halawa Interchange; and modifications to the Fort Weaver/Kunia Road ramp.  (HB2283 HD1)

RELATING TO TAXATION.

Amends the definition of "aircraft" under section 237-24.9, Hawaii Revised Statutes, to include helicopters.  Exempts amounts received for the servicing and maintenance of helicopters and the construction of helicopter service and maintenance facilities from the general excise tax.  (HB2007 HD1)

RELATING TO HIGHWAY BEAUTIFICATION.

Makes the motor vehicle registration fee for U-drive motor vehicles consistent with the fee for all other motor vehicles.  Makes any county ordinance that increases a motor vehicle registration fee applicable to U-drive vehicles.  (HB2177 HD1)

RELATING TO MOTOR CARRIERS.

Clarifies that "rates" for purposes of Hawaii's Motor Carrier Law means only charges for the provision of transportation by motor carrier when transportation is provided as one part of a package that includes other services.  (HB2435 HD1)
