Requires franchisees to disclose their non-participation in advertising campaigns of the franchisor in which discounts or promotions are offered. Prohibit franchisors from limiting or restricting the disclosures.

RELATING TO FILM AND DIGITAL MEDIA INDUSTRY DEVELOPMENT.

Extends the sunset date of the Motion Picture, Digital Media, and Film Production Income Tax Credit to January 1, 2024. Provides stability and economic incentive predictability for the film industry.

RELATING TO THE HAWAII TECHNOLOGY DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION.

Provides an appropriation for the Hawaii Technology Development Corporation to support the continuation of business accelerator programs.

Requires the office of planning, in coordination with the appropriate departmental agency, to prepare and periodically update a functional plan for seafood sustainability that expands the State's priority on food by including wild seafood as a viable food source.

Individuals or organizations wishing to offer comments should submit testimony by 4:00pm the day prior to the hearing. Testimony should indicate:

     The date and time of the hearing;

     Measure number; and

     Statement of support, opposition, or comments.

 

While every effort will be made to incorporate all testimony received, materials received after 4:00pm the day prior to the hearing or improperly identified or directed, may be distributed to the Committee after the hearing.

Testimony submitted will be placed on the legislative website. This public posting of testimony on the website should be considered when including personal information in your testimony.
