A BILL FOR AN ACT

 

 

relating to veterans.

 

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

 


     SECTION 1.  Section 321-30.1, Hawaii Revised Statutes, is amended by amending subsection (c) to read as follows:

     "(c)  The department, upon completion of the transfer of the medical use of marijuana program, shall charge a medical marijuana registration fee to qualifying patients of no more than $35[.]; provided that the department shall not charge a fee to a qualifying patient who is a veteran of the United States military."

     SECTION 2.  Statutory material to be repealed is bracketed and stricken.  New statutory material is underscored.

     SECTION 3.  This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
