A BILL FOR AN ACT

 

 

relating to separation benefits.

 

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

 


     SECTION 1.  There is appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii the sum of $         or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2017-2018 and the same sum or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2018-2019 for severance benefits and special retirement benefits pursuant to chapter 89E, Hawaii Revised Statutes, for public employees affected by the privatization or closure of Hawaii health systems corporation facilities.

     The sums appropriated shall be expended by the Hawaii health systems corporation for the purposes of this Act.

     SECTION 2.  This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2017.
