RELATING TO HEALTH.

Beginning with the 2016-2017 school year, requires public schools to annually provide information about the human papillomavirus, including the connection between human papillomavirus to cervical and other cancers and diseases, and the availability of vaccines against the human papillomavirus to parents or guardians of students entering sixth grade.

RELATING TO EDUCATION.

Authorizes Department of Education (DOE) employees and agents to volunteer to administer auto-injectable epinephrine to a student with anaphylaxis in an emergency situation.  Allows DOE to make arrangements to receive auto-injectable epinephrine supplies from manufacturers or suppliers.  Requires DOE to report on the status of implementation.

Requires the Department of Education and Department of Health to jointly establish an interagency working group to create a comprehensive school health program.

RELATING TO THE DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION.

Appropriates funds to raise awareness of mental health issues and provide mental health training for public school administrators, teachers, and other school personnel.  Appropriates funds to establish additional public school counselor positions in the public schools.
