A BILL FOR AN ACT

 

 

relating to capital improvement projects for the benefit of the twenty-second representative district.

 

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

 


     SECTION 1.  The following sums, or so much thereof as shall be sufficient to finance the projects listed in this Act, are hereby appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii for fiscal year 2015-2016:

     1.   To be expended by the department of education:

     A.   Ala Wai elementary school, Oahu

          Plans, design, and construction for parking lot resurfacing.

     B.   Ala Wai elementary school, Oahu

          Equipment to replace desk chairs.

          Construction for the renovation of the innovation center.

          Construction                          $100,000

          Total funding                         $100,000

     D.   Jefferson elementary school, Oahu

          Plans, design, and construction for a photovoltaic system for the aquaponics system.

     E.   Kuhio elementary school, Oahu

          Plans, design, and construction for a new multipurpose classroom building.

     F.   President William McKinley high school, Oahu

          Plans, design, construction, and equipment for repaving the main parking lot, McKinley Community School for Adults parking lot, Pensacola Street entrance, King Street entrance, and cafeteria parking lot.

          Plans, design, and construction for the renovation and conversion of a classroom to a recording studio.

     J.   Washington middle school, Oahu

          Feasibility study for constructing 900-seat auditorium on campus.

     2.   To be expended by the judiciary:

     A.   Domestic violence action center, Oahu

          Construction and equipment to build eight enclosed offices and nine work stations.

          Construction                           $60,000

          Equipment                              $40,000

          Total funding                         $100,000

     SECTION 2.  The sums appropriated for the respective capital projects set forth in section 1 shall be expended by the designated expending agency for the purpose of this Act.

     SECTION 3.  This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2015.
