RELATING TO AQUATIC RESOURCES.

Establishes the aquatic resources special fund.  Requires the DLNR to establish a nonresident fishing permit program.

Status

RELATING TO PUBLIC LAND LIABILITY.

Makes permanent the limitations of liability for public entities based on the duty to warn of dangers on public lands.

Status

RELATING TO TORT LIABILITY.

Repeals the sunset date and makes permanent the law shielding county lifeguards from liability.

Status

RELATING TO SANDALWOOD.

Establishes penalties for the destruction or harvesting of native sandalwood trees.  Requires replanting for trees harvested.  Bans the export of raw or unprocessed sandalwood timber.  Establishes DLNR policies regarding sandalwood.

Status

RELATING TO THE DEPARTMENT OF LAND AND NATURAL RESOURCES.

Requires each division or office of the Department of Land and Natural Resources to publish annual reports on the department's official website.  Requires the Department to account for past reports required of the Department and its predecessor agency.

Status

RELATING TO WATER.

Requires the water resources research center at the University of Hawaii at Manoa to conduct a study on the impact of the increased safety standards for dams and reservoirs that were adopted by the department of land and natural resources.  Requires a report to the legislature.  Make an appropriation.  Effective 07/01/2015.

Amends the Hawaii Revised Statutes relating to geothermal resource development.

Persons wishing to offer comments should submit testimony at least 24 hours prior to the hearing.  Testimony should indicate:
