RELATING TO THE WAGE AND HOUR LAW.

Increases the minimum wage by $1 on 7/1/14, 1/1/15, and 1/1/16, respectively.

Status

RELATING TO WAGES.

Increases the minimum hourly wage to $10.00 per hour, effective 01/01/2015. Increases the tip credit to $1.25.

RELATING TO LABOR.

Increases the hourly minimum wage to $7.75 on January 1, 2015, $8.25 on January 1, 2016, $8.75 on January 1, 2017, and $9.00 on January 1, 2018. Effective July 1, 2014.

Status

RELATING TO MINIMUM HOURLY WAGE.

Increases the minimum hourly wage to $8.00 per hour in 01/01/2015, $8.50 in 01/01/2016, and $9.00 in 01/01/2017. Increases the tip credit to $1.00. Requires employers to increase wages of non-tipped employees by $1.00 if using the tip credit for their tipped employees.

RELATING TO MINIMUM HOURLY WAGE.

Increases the minimum hourly wage to $8.75 on January 1, 2015, $9.50 on January 1, 2016, and $10.00 on January 1, 2017.

RELATING TO LABOR.

Annually increases minimum wage 1/1/15 - 1/1/17. On 9/30/17 and thereafter requires DLIR to adjust the minimum hourly wage in accordance with the Honolulu region consumer price index. Deletes tip credit.

DECISION MAKING TO FOLLOW

 

Persons wishing to offer comments should submit testimony at least 24 hours prior to the hearing. Testimony should indicate:

     Testifier's name with position/title and organization;

     The Committee(s) to which the comments are directed;

     The date and time of the hearing; and

     Measure number.

 

While every effort will be made to incorporate all testimony received, materials received on the day of the hearing or improperly identified or directed, may be distributed to the Committee after the hearing. Those wishing to provide oral testimony will be limited to two minutes.

 

Those wishing to testify may submit one testimony and have it apply to all measures on the Hearing Notice.

 

Submit testimony in ONE of the following ways:

PAPER: 12 copies (including an original) to Room 422 in the State Capitol;

FAX: For testimony less than 5 pages in length, transmit to 808-586-6331 (Oahu) or 1-800-535-3859 (for Neighbor Islander without a computer to submit testimony through e-mail or the Web); or

WEB: For testimony less than 10MB in size, transmit from http://www.capitol.hawaii.gov/submittestimony.aspx.

 

Testimony submitted will be placed on the legislative website after the hearing adjourns. This public posting of testimony on the website should be considered when including personal information in your testimony.
