RELATING TO DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES ADULT FOSTER HOMES.

Permits exemptions from two-resident limit for certified adult foster homes for adults with developmental or intellectual disabilities by waiver, if an adult resident is related to the caretaker, and for foster children who turn 18. Permits dual certification as child and adult foster home to accommodate children who turn 18 or specific children. Effective January 1, 2150. (SB2853 HD1)

RELATING TO PRIVACY OF HEALTH CARE INFORMATION.

Amends the statutes to protect the privacy of developmental disability and mental health information, while allowing reasonable use and disclosure as provided by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA). (SD2)

RELATING TO THE BOARD OF LAND AND NATURAL RESOURCES.

Amends the composition of the Board of Land and Natural Resources by requiring that at least one member shall have a background in native Hawaiian traditional and customary practices.

RELATING TO THE ENDANGERED SPECIES RECOVERY COMMITTEE.

Amends the composition of the Endangered Species Recovery Committee by adding a member possessing a background in native Hawaiian traditional and customary practices.

Testimony submitted will be placed on the legislative website. This public posting of testimony on the website should be considered when including personal information in your testimony. Those wishing to provide oral testimony will be limited to two minutes.
