Status

RELATING TO PUBLIC LANDS.

Provides several means of compensation in addition to rent reductions when the State withdraws, condemns, or takes public land leased for intensive agricultural or pastoral uses and renders the land unusable for the original purposes of the lease.  Effective 07/01/2050.  (SD1)

RELATING TO AGRICULTURAL BUILDING PERMITS.

Provides, under certain circumstances, an exemption from building code and permit requirements for nonresidential buildings or structures on commercial farms and ranches located outside the urban district.  (SD1)

Status

RELATING TO AGRICULTURE.

Authorizes the DOA to dispose of lands and negotiate and enter into leases with the ADC.  Exempts non-agricultural park lands disposed of to the ADC from section 166-8(b)(2) and (5), HRS.  Effective 07/01/2050.  (SD2)

DECISION MAKING TO FOLLOW

 

Persons wishing to offer comments should submit testimony at least 24 hours prior to the hearing.  Testimony should indicate:

·     Testifier's name with position/title and organization;

·     The Committee(s) to which the comments are directed;

·     The date and time of the hearing; and

·     Measure number.

 

While every effort will be made to incorporate all testimony received, materials received on the day of the hearing or improperly identified or directed, may be distributed to the Committee after the hearing.

Testimony submitted will be placed on the legislative website after the hearing adjourns.  This public posting of testimony on the website should be considered when including personal information in your testimony.
