RELATING TO CIVIL ACTIONS FOR DISCRIMINATORY PRACTICES IN REAL PROPERTY TRANSACTIONS.

Allows aggrieved persons the right to file a civil action for housing discrimination no later than two years after the occurrence or termination of an alleged discriminatory housing practice. Directs the Hawaii civil rights commission to issue a right to sue on a complaint filed with the commission under certain circumstances. Effective 07/01/50. (SD1)

RELATING TO ADULT GUARDIANSHIP AND PROTECTIVE PROCEEDINGS JURISDICTION.

Adopts the Uniform Adult Guardianship and Protective Proceedings Jurisdiction Act, to ensure that only one state has jurisdiction at any one time. Contains specific guidelines to specify which court has jurisdiction to appoint a guardian or conservator for an incapacitated adult. Prioritizes the states that may claim jurisdiction. Effective 7/1/2014. (SD1)

PROPOSING AN AMENDMENT TO ARTICLE VI, SECTION 4, OF THE HAWAII STATE CONSTITUTION TO REQUIRE THE JUDICIAL SELECTION COMMISSION TO DISCLOSE THE NAMES OF AND CERTAIN INFORMATION REGARDING ACTIVE NOMINEES AND APPLICANTS TO FILL JUSTICE AND JUDGE VACANCIES.

Requires the judicial selection commission to disclose the names of and other statistical information regarding active nominees and applicants to fill justice and judge vacancies.

RELATING TO ELECTRONIC INFORMATION.

Authorizes government agencies to disseminate publications of notice electronically or in a daily or weekly publication of statewide circulation, or in a daily or weekly publication in the affected county, as appropriate; appropriates funds for the operational expenses of the office of information management technology; appropriates funds for the Hawaii public library system for public access support services; electronic notice requirement effective 7/1/2013. (SD2)

     Testifier's name with position/title and organization;

     The Committee the comments are directed to;

     The date and time of the hearing;

     Measure number; and

     The number of copies the Committee is requesting.
