MAKING EMERGENCY APPROPRIATIONS FOR CLAIMS AGAINST THE STATE, ITS OFFICERS, OR ITS EMPLOYEES.

Makes emergency appropriations for claims against the State or its officers or employees that were submitted during the Regular Session of 2011 but were not appropriated.

Status

RELATING TO ELECTIONS.

Makes an emergency appropriation of $1,725,000 for fiscal year 2011-2012 to fund the voting system contract for conducting of the 2012 elections and ensure compliance with federal law.

Status

RELATING TO EMPLOYMENT SECURITY.

Sets the maximum weekly benefit amount at seventy-five per cent of the average weekly wage from April 1, 2012 to December 31, 2012.  Sets, for calendar year 2012, the employer contribution rate at schedule F.  Authorizes the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations director to accept loans from the State Director of Finance or from the federal government under Title XII of the Social Security Act.  Authorizes the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations director to increase the employment and training assessment in increments of .01 per cent retroactive to January 1, 2012, for payment of interest on federal loans for unemployment insurance benefits.  Requires the Act to apply retroactively to January 1, 2012.

Testimony submitted will be placed on the Legislative Web site after the hearing adjourns.  This public posting of testimony on the Web site should be considered when including personal information in your testimony.
