A BILL FOR AN ACT
RELATING TO CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE THIRTY-SEVENTH REPRESENTATIVE DISTRICT.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. Mililani and Waipio Gentry, located in the thirty-seventh representative district, encompass the new and expanding areas of Waipio Gentry and older areas of Mililani. Aging and deteriorating school facilities in the district and the public library require repair and maintenance to ensure that these facilities meet the educational needs of youth in the community and the community at large. Sidewalks along Kamehameha highway are also required for pedestrian safety.
SECTION 2. The following sums, or so much thereof as shall be sufficient to finance the projects listed in this Act, are hereby appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii for fiscal year 2012-2013:
1. To be expended by the department of education:

Design and construction of two restrooms near bus station.

both sides of Kamehameha highway from Meheula parkway to Lanikuhana avenue.

SECTION 3. The sums appropriated for the respective capital projects set forth in section 2 shall be expended by the designated expending agency for the purposes of this Act.
SECTION 4. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2012.
