A BILL FOR AN ACT

 

 

relating to government.

 

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

 


     SECTION 1.  Section 76-11, Hawaii Revised Statutes, is amended by amending the definition of "appointing authority" to read as follows:

     ""Appointing authority" means a department head or the department head's designee having the power to make appointments or changes in the status of employees."

     SECTION 2.  New statutory material is underscored.

     SECTION 3.  This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
