A BILL FOR AN ACT

 

 

relating to AN ASIA-PACIFIC ECONOMIC COOPERATION nation program.

 

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

 


     SECTION 1.  Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation nation program.  The legislature, through the house of representatives and the senate, shall establish an "Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation nation program."  The program may be established and organized as the rules of house of representatives and the senate specify.  The program may include a host country day event for each day of the legislative session, twenty-one legislative days prior to the end of the 2011 regular session, to acknowledge a different country's flag and national anthem on the occasion of their national day.

     SECTION 2.  This Act shall take effect upon its approval and shall be repealed on December 31, 2011.
