Various parties of the Executive Departments have been invited to inform members of the Senate Committee on Ways and Means and the general public on the status of the State’s effort to assist the Hawaii Health Systems Corporation (HHSC) and private hospitals in seeking out what is commonly referred to as Disproportionate-Share Hospital Like (DSH-like) reimbursements.
The purpose of this briefing is also to update members of the Committee and the general public of the Administration’s position and plans on how the DSH-like reimbursements, through the Medicaid Waiver Program, would provide potential financial relief to the HHSC and other private hospitals for losses incurred in serving the indigent or uninsured population.

Ms. Lillian Koller, Human Services Director
Ms. Thomas Driskill, President and CEO of the HHSC
