A BILL FOR AN ACT

 

making an appropriation to the friends of waipahu cultural garden park.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

SECTION 1. There is appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii the sum of $75,000, or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2003-2004, for the Friends of Waipahu Cultural Garden Park to provide for ongoing programs at Hawaii's Plantation Village; provided that no funds shall be made available under this Act unless the Friends of Waipahu Cultural Garden Park provides a dollar for dollar match for the purpose for which this sum is appropriated.

SECTION 2. The sum appropriated shall be expended by the department of accounting and general services for the purposes of this Act, provided that moneys appropriated shall only be expended for programs and supplies and shall not be used for personnel costs.

SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2003.
