A BILL FOR AN ACT

 

RELATING TO CONDOMINIUMS.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

SECTION 1. There is appropriated out of the condominium management education fund the sum of $150,000 or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2004-2005 to be used to inform condominium owners about the specific changes proposed by S.B. No. 2210, H.D. 1, answer questions raised by those owners, and solicit their comments and reactions. The appropriation may be used for the continuation of one full-time temporary condominium specialist position in the department of commerce and consumer affairs (with the option of hiring a person as either an employee of the department or a consultant to the department), and other current expenses.

The sum appropriated shall be expended by the department of commerce and consumer affairs for the purposes of this Act.

SECTION 2. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2099.
