A BILL FOR AN ACT

 

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE AVIATION MUSEUM OF THE PACIFIC.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

SECTION 1. There is appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii the sum of $1,000,000, or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2004-2005, for Aviation Museum of the Pacific for the restoration and exhibits for a new air museum to be built on Ford Island; provided that no funds shall be made available under this Act unless the Aviation Museum of the Pacific provides $3,000,000 for the purpose for which this sum is appropriated.

SECTION 2. The sum appropriated shall be expended by the department of defense for the purposes of this Act; provided that moneys appropriated shall be expended only for restoration and exhibits.

SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2004.
