A BILL FOR AN ACT
AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE OF GENERAL OBLIGATION BONDS FOR THE FIFTH SENATORIAL DISTRICT.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. The director of finance is authorized to issue general obligation bonds in the sum of $ , or so much thereof as shall be sufficient in fiscal years 2003-2004, and 2004-2005, to finance the following South and West Maui capital improvement projects:
(1) Lahainaluna high school, Maui
Replacement of Building D

(2) Lahainaluna high school, Maui
Replacement of existing cafetorium
Planning and design $ 250,000

SECTION 2. The bonds issued for the respective capital projects authorized under this Act shall not lapse at the end of the fiscal biennium for which the issuance is made; provided that all issuances which are unencumbered as of June 30, 2006, shall lapse as of that date.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2003.
