A BILL FOR AN ACT

 

relating to capital improvement projects for the benefit of the forty-fourth representative district.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

SECTION 1. The following sums, or so much thereof as shall be sufficient to finance the projects listed in this Act, are hereby appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii for fiscal year 2003-2004.

1. To be expended by the department of accounting and general services:

A. Nanakuli IV elementary school, Oahu.

Design and equipment for a student support center, and equipment for a playground.

Design $100,000

Equipment 200,000

Playground equipment 150,000

Total $450,000

B. Nanakuli high and intermediate school, Oahu.

Design and construction of sidewalk improvements.

Design $ 25,000

Construction 225,000

Total $250,000

C. Nanakuli elementary school, Oahu.

Design and installation of air conditioning unit in administration building, and upgrade of play court area.

Design $ 7,500

Construction 67,500

Playground equipment 25,000

Total $100,000

D. Maile elementary school, Oahu.

Design and construction of asphalt sidewalk.

Design $ 10,000

Construction 75,000

Total $ 85,000

E. Maile elementary school, Oahu.

Design and construction of bus bay parking area.

Design $ 10,000

Construction 75,000

Total $ 85,000

F. Nanakuli high and intermediate school, Oahu.

Design and installation of air conditioning unit in the counseling department.

Design $ 5,000

Installation 45,000

Total $ 50,000

2. To be expended by the department of transportation:

A. Waianae second access road, Oahu.

Planning of a permanent second access road.

Planning $100,000

Total $100,000

SECTION 2. The sums appropriated for the respective capital projects set forth in section 1 shall be expended by the designated expending agency for the purposes of this Act.

SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2003.
