A BILL FOR AN ACT
relating to capital improvement projects for the benefit of the Eighteenth representative district.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. The following sums, or so much thereof as shall be sufficient to finance the projects listed in this Act, are hereby appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii for fiscal year 2003-2004.
1. To be expended by the Department of Accounting and General Services:
A. Kahala Elementary School, Oahu
(1) Electrical infrastructure upgrade 300,000
Total Funding 300,000
B. Niu Valley Middle School, Oahu
(1) Additional parking spaces with road
exit 200,000
(2) Cattle gate/fence enclosure 50,000
Total Funding 250,000
C. Wailupe Valley Elementary School
(1) Covered assembly area to accommodate (outside)entire school for assembly,
meetings, programs, etc. 700,000
(2) Bridge, pedestrian walkway 300,000
(3) Enlarge library to accommodate
computer lab and offices 975,000
Total Funding 1,975,000
D. Aina Haina School
(1) Upgrade electrical wiring in
all classrooms, administration and other buildings 200,000
Total Funding 200,000
SECTION 2. The sums appropriated for the respective capital projects set forth in section 1 shall be expended by the designated expending agency for the purposes of this Act.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2003.
