A BILL FOR AN ACT
relating to capital improvement projects for the benefit of the NINth representative district.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. The following sums, or so much thereof as shall be sufficient to finance the projects listed in this Act, are hereby appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii for fiscal year 2003-2004.
1. To be expended by the department of accounting and general services:
Wailuku elementary school II, Maui
Design and construction of first
increment; ground and site improvements,
equipment and appurtenance.
Design $ 1,000,000
Equipment 300,000
Construction 12,700,000
Total Funding $ 14,000,000
2. To be expended by the Hawaii health system corporation:
Maui memorial medical center, Maui
Implementation of phase II of the
Maui memorial center master plan.

Total Funding $ 8,000,000
SECTION 2. The appropriation made for the capital improvement project authorized by this Act shall not lapse at the end of the fiscal biennium for which the appropriation is made; provided that all moneys from the appropriation unencumbered as of June 30, 2006, shall lapse as of that date.
SECTION 3. The sums appropriated for the respective capital improvement projects set forth in section 1 shall be expended by the designated expending agency for the purposes of this Act.
SECTION 4. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2003.
