A BILL FOR AN ACT

 

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS FOR THE forty-EIGHTH representative DISTRICT.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

SECTION 1. The following sums, or so much thereof as may be necessary to finance the projects listed in this Act, are hereby appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii for fiscal year 2004-2005 for the following capital improvements in the forty-eighth representative district:

1. James B. Castle high school, Oahu

Planning and design for a new cafeteria; ground and site improvements; equipment and appurtenances

Planning and design $ 200,000

Total Funding $ 200,000

2. Windward Community College, Oahu

Design and construction of a new library; ground and site improvements; equipment and appurtenances

Design $ 1,800,000

Construction 23,410,000

Equipment 2,515,000

Total Funding $27,725,000

3. Kaneohe elementary school, Oahu

Plan, design, and construction of the upper level parking lot; ground and site improvements; equipment and appurtenances

Plans and design $ 30,000

Construction 150,000

Total Funding $ 180,000

4. Heeia elementary school, Oahu

Design and construction for the improvements and upgrade of the electrical system; ground and site improvements; equipment and appurtenances

Design $ 50,000

Construction 500,000

Total Funding $ 550,000

5. Kapunahala elementary school, Oahu

Planning, design, and construction for the renovation of the parent community network center room and the replacement and expansion of the air conditioning equipment in Building E; site improvement; equipment and appurtenances

Planning and design $ 20,000

Construction 175,000

Total Funding $ 195,000

SECTION 2. The sums appropriated for the capital improvement projects set forth in section 1 shall be expended by the department of accounting and general services for the purposes of this Act.

SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2004.
