A BILL FOR AN ACT

 

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS IN THE SEVENTH REPRESENTATIVE DISTRICT.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

SECTION 1. The following sums, or so much thereof as may be necessary to finance the projects listed in this Act, are hereby appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii for fiscal year 2004-2005.

1. To be expended by the department of accounting and general services:

Kealakehe high school, Kailua-Kona Hawaii

Construction of dugouts for playfield that

cannot be used until dugouts are built.

Construction $ 50,000

Total Funding $ 50,000

2. To be expended by the county of Hawaii:

A. County of Hawaii, parks and recreation

For environmental assessment of land in the

vacinity of Waikoloa elementary school. $ 80,000

Total Funding $ 80,000

B. County of Hawaii, parks and recreation

Planning and design of new park

within two miles of Waimea. $ 40,000

Total Funding $ 40,000

C. Multi-purpose senior center, Kailua-Kona, Hawaii

Plans and site selection for a

multi-purpose senior center.

Plans $100,000

Total Funding $100,000

D. Waimea senior center, Waimea, Hawaii

Construction to repair and upgrade

historic buildings.

Construction $ 50,000

Total Funding $ 50,000

SECTION 2. The sums appropriated for the respective capital improvement projects set forth in section 1 shall be expended by the designated expending agency for the purposes of this Act.

SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2004.
