A BILL FOR AN ACT

 

Relating to capital improvement projects for the benefit of the eighteenth representative district.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

SECTION 1. The following sums, or so much thereof as shall be sufficient to finance the projects listed in this Act, are hereby appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii for fiscal year 2004-2005.

1. To be expended by the department of accounting and general services:

A. Aina Haina Elementary School

(1) Installation of air conditioning

in buildings A and B. 300,000

(2) Installation of "Grass Pave" in

front of school for secondary parking 150,000

(3) Re-grading and landscaping of rear

of campus to facilitate draining during

heavy rains 75,000

Total Funding 525,000

B. Haha`ione Elementary School

Replacement of water lines on campus 130,000

C. Kahala Elementary School

(1) Planning, design, and construction

to upgrade electrical infrastructure

for the entire school 400,000

(2) Re-roofing of the library 75,000

(3) Planning, design, and construction

of a library multimedia room,

including air conditioning and

furnishing 150,000

(4) Renovations to upgrade room F2 to

utilize as a creative center 75,000

Total Funding 700,000

D. Kaiser High School

Planning, design, and construction of

a female athletic locker room facility 300,000

E. Kalani High School

(1) Planning, design, and construction

to renovate locker room to include

a training room 500,000

(2) Installation of air conditioning

in the administration building 500,000

(3) Renovation of the track 750,000

Total Funding 1,750,000

F. Wailupe Valley Elementary School

(1) Painting of the exterior of

Building A 30,000

(2) Re-roof Building C 100,000

(3) Replace existing covered walkway 25,000

Total Funding 155,000

SECTION 2. The sums appropriated for the respective capital projects set forth in section 1 shall be expended by the designated expending agency for the purposes of this Act.

SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2004.
