A BILL FOR AN ACT

 

RELATING TO INTOXICATING LIQUOR.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

SECTION 1. Chapter 281, Hawaii Revised Statutes, is amended by adding a new section to be appropriately designated and to read as follows:

"§281- County regulation and ordinances. (a) Each county shall have the power to manage and regulate the liquor commission within its own county.

(b) Each county may adopt ordinances that supersede this chapter; provided that the ordinances are not less restrictive than the powers, authority, and discretion granted pursuant to this chapter."

SECTION 2. New statutory material is underscored.

SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
