A BILL FOR AN ACT

 

RELATING TO CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE FORTY-FIFTH REPRESENTATIVE DISTRICT.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

SECTION 1. The following sums, or so much thereof as shall be sufficient to finance the projects listed in this Act, are hereby appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii for fiscal year 2004-2005.

1. To be expended by the department of accounting and general services:

A. Ka Waihona O Ka Naauao charter school, Oahu

Plans, design, and construction for repair and maintenance of existing structures.

Design $1,000

Construction $1,000

Total funding $3,000

2. To be expended by the department of transportation:

A. Farrington highway and Lualualei Homestead road intersection, Oahu

Plans, design, and construction for additional left turn lanes at the intersection.

Construction $1,000

Total funding $3,000

3. To be expended by the city and county of Honolulu:

A. Mill street and Waianae Valley road, and Mill street and Lualualei Homestead road intersections, Oahu

Plans, design, construction, and equipment to install blinking stoplights at each intersection.

Construction $1,000

Equipment $1,000

Total funding $4,000

B. Lahaina street and Ala Naauao place, Oahu

Plans, design, and construction to install speed bumps one hundred yards before and after Makaha elementary school.

Total funding $3,000

SECTION 2. The sums appropriated for the respective capital projects set forth in section 1 shall be expended by the designated expending agencies for the purposes of this Act.

SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2004.
