A BILL FOR AN ACT

 

relating to capital improvement projects for the benefit of the forty-eighth representative district.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

SECTION 1. The following sums, or so much thereof as shall be sufficient to finance the projects listed in this Act, are hereby appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii for fiscal year 2003-2004.

1. To be expended by the department of accounting and general services:

A. Castle high school, Oahu

Plans, design, and construction for the demolition of existing wooden bleachers, installation of concrete bleachers, five general classrooms, and storage; ADA-related improvements; ground and site improvements; equipment and appurtenances.

Plans $ 85,000

Design 290,000

Construction 3,400,000

Total funding $3,775,000

B. He`eia elementary school, Oahu

Plans, design, and construction for the installation of parking lot expansion; ground and site improvements.

Plans and design $ 30,000

Construction 150,000

Total funding $ 180,000

C. King middle school, Oahu

Plans, design, and construction for the installation of a five classroom/office building; ground and site improvements; equipment and appurtenances.

Plans $ 75,000

Design 250,000

Construction 4,000,000

Equipment 75,000

Total funding $4,400,000

D. King middle school, Oahu

Plans, design, and construction for the installation of a stage in the cafeteria.

Plans $ 10,000

Design 40,000

Construction 300,000

Total funding $ 350,000

E. Kaneohe elementary school, Oahu

Plans, design, and construction for the installation of a basketball court.

Plans and design $ 10,000

Construction 25,000

Total funding $ 35,000

SECTION 2. The sums appropriated for the respective capital projects set forth in section 1 shall be expended by the designated expending agency for the purposes of this Act.

SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2003.
