A BILL FOR AN ACT

 

relating to capital improvement projects for the benefit of the forty-FIRST representative district.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

SECTION 1. The following sums, or so much thereof as shall be sufficient to finance the projects listed in this Act, are hereby appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii for fiscal year 2003-2004.

1. Honowai elementary school

A. Installation of air conditioning

for the library.

Total Funding $ 70,000

B. Installation of external public announcement system.

Design and construction of sidewalk improvements.

Design $ 9,000

Construction 66,000

Total Funding $ 75,000

C. Improvements to driveway.

Design $ 11,000

Construction 67,000

Total Funding $ 78,000

2. Kaleiopuu elementary school

A. Design and construction of an alternative emergency exit ramp at rear of school.

B. Design and construction of a retaining wall on the mauka side of campus.

C. Extension of the mauka fire lane to the rear of campus.

SECTION 2. The sums appropriated shall be expended by the department of accounting and general services for the purposes of this Act.

SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2003.
