A BILL FOR AN ACT
relating to capital improvement projects for the benefit of the twelfth Representative district.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. The following sums, or so much thereof as shall be sufficient to finance the projects listed in this Act, are hereby appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii for fiscal year 2003-2004.
1. To be expended by the Department of Accounting and General Services:
A. Kalama School, Maui
(1) Construction of sidewalk and steps by
building 1 60,000
(2) Removal of fig trees by building 1 15,000
(3) Widening of sidewalk by building O 40,000
(4) Installation of security screens
for portables 16,000
Total Funding 127,000
B. King Kekaulike High School, Maui
(1) Repair tennis court 100,000
(2) Installation of fence by ditch 67,000
(3) Painting of the exterior of building A 40,000
(4) Painting the facia of buildings
A, D & E 15,000
(5) Replacement of doors & hardwire in
building V 10,000
Total Funding 232,000
C. Kula School, Maui
(1) Replacement of campus detector valves 70,000
(2) Painting of portables 3, 4, 5, & 9 16,000
(3) Painting the facia of building C 5,000
(4) Painting the facia of building B 5,000
Total Funding 96,000
D. Makawao School, Maui
(1) Electric upgrade of building A 35,000
(2) Re-roofing of walkway between
building B & A 25,000
(3) Replacement of campus detector valves 70,000
(4) Add outlets to portables 36,000
Total Funding 166,000
E. Pukalani School, Maui
(1) Installation of a sidewalk from
building C to portables 3 & 4 15,000
(2) Replace campus detector valves 70,000
Total Funding 85,000
SECTION 2. The sums appropriated for the respective capital projects set forth in section 1 shall be expended by the designated expending agency for the purposes of this Act.
SECTION 3. The appropriations made for capital improvement projects authorized in this Act shall not lapse at the end of the fiscal biennium for which the appropriation is made; provided that all appropriations which are unencumbered as of June 30, 2004, shall lapse as of that date.
SECTION 4. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2003.
