Received message numbers 151 to 153 requesting immediate passage of the following House Bills authorizing emergency operating appropriations:
H.B. No. 1077 appropriates $1,000,000 for the staffing of the Office of the Governor and $141,000 for the staffing of the Office of the Lieutenant Governor from January 2003 through June 2003.
H.B. No. 1180 appropriates $2,179,400 for the Department of Health to pay for start-up and remediation costs to comply with the federal Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996.
H.B. No. 1181 appropriates $14,000,000 to pay for employer contributions of the Hawaii Health Systems Corporation to the Employees' Retirement System and the Health Fund.
