RELATING TO COLLECTIVE BARGAINING. Allows collective bargaining process to vary family leave rights for collective bargaining employees. Nakata (BR).

RELATING TO WORKERS' COMPENSATION. Clarifies that the employee presumption applies to whether or not an employee sustained a work related injury and not to benefits. Bunda (BR).

RELATING TO AMENDMENTS TO ACT 253, SESSION LAWS OF HAWAII 2000. Allows the Director to certify that new or amended administrative rules, policies, standards, guidelines, ordinances, executive orders, directives, or provisions in a collective bargaining agreement are in place, and that the effective dates of the repeal of existing statutes and administrative rules or the effective dates of new statutes and administrative rules shall be the date of certification for a specific jurisdiction. RELATING TO STATUTORY REFERENCES AFFECTED BY ACT 253, SESSION LAWS OF HAWAII 2000. Effectuates correct statutory reference or language changes before Act 253, Session Laws of Hawaii 2000 takes effect on July 1, 2002. Bunda (BR)

RELATING TO THE APPROPRIATION FOR STATE EMPLOYEE BENEFIT PROGRAMS. Provides continued funding for the state's workers' compensation program for fiscal year 2001-2002. Bunda (BR).

RELATING TO THE HOISTING MACHINE OPERATORS ADVISORY BOARD. Places the Hoisting Machine Operators Advisory Board within the DLIR. Authorizes the hiring of a half-time executive director for the Hoisting Machine Operators Advisory Board who shall be exempt from civil service. Bunda (BR).
