SB 2302

RELATING TO HEALTH INSURANCE.

Prohibits health insurance rates that are excess, inadequate or unfairly discriminatory. Requires health care insurers to submit rate filings for approval by the insurance commissioner. Establishes penalties and appeal procedures.

SB 3075

RELATING TO MUTUAL BENEFIT SOCIETIES.

Repeals the exemption from state, county, and municipal taxes for mutual benefit societies.

SB 2085

RELATING TO MENTAL HEALTH, ALCOHOL, AND DRUG ABUSE.

Requires mental illness benefits to be provided to minors to same as extent as to adults; prohibits rate discrimination for minors; defines a minor; adds major depression to definition of serious mental illness as applied to minors; requires treatment as clinically necessary for minors for serious mental illness and alcohol and drug dependence benefits; repeals sunset of definition of "serious mental illness".
