Appropriates funds for capital improvement projects in the twenty-second senatorial district.

STATE OF HAWAII
A BILL FOR AN ACT
MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR THE twenty-second SENATORIAL DISTRICT.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. The director of finance is authorized to issue general obligation bonds in the sum of $14,412,800, or so much thereof as may be necessary, for fiscal year 2001-2002, for the following capital improvements in the twenty-second senatorial district:
1. Hale Kula Elementary School, Oahu
Design and construction for expansion of library and administrative office.
Total funding $1,365,000
2. Helemano Elementary School, Oahu
Design, construction, and purchase of equipment for a new library; ground and site improvements; equipment and appurtenances.
Total funding $2,485,000
3. Iliahi Elementary School, Oahu
Design and construction for the expansion of the parking lot; ground and site improvements; and other related work.
Total funding $256,000
4. Kaala Elementary School, Oahu
Construction and installation of air conditioning for library and computer center.
Total funding $437,800
5. Leilehua High School, Oahu
Renovation of existing facility for technology academics to include electrical power upgrade, television production, computer repair, and information technology.
Total funding $550,000
6. Paukauwila Stream
Dredging of the mouth of Paukauwila Stream and disposing of the recovered sediment.
Total funding $1,000,000
7. Solomon, Elementary School, Oahu
Construction of a new library and multifunctional building.
Total funding $1,700,000
8. Sunset Beach Elementary School, Oahu
Design and construction of a new administrative building; renovation of existing temporary facilities to classrooms; ground and site improvements; equipment and appurtenances.
Total funding $2,300,000
9. Waialua Elementary School, Oahu
Renovation and expansion of the administrative building to include space for the PCNC and other school programs; ground site improvements; equipment and appurtenances.
Total funding $2,350,000
10. Waialua Intermediate and High School, Oahu
Renovation of existing tennis courts; construction of a safety fence and equipment shed for the baseball field; construction for a ADA compliant dugout.
Total funding $250,000
11. Waialua Library, Oahu
Design and construction of a new library.
Total funding $250,000
12. Wahiawa skateboard park, Oahu
Plan, design and construction of a skateboard park.
Total funding $300,000
13. Kamehameha Highway, Oahu
Land acquisition, design, and construction to extend a five-foot side walk with a four-foot shoulder from the Waimea Bay. Emergency repair project to the existing path near Pupukea Beach Park.
Total funding $1,169,000
SECTION 2. The appropriations made for capital improvement projects authorized in this Act which are unexpended and unencumbered as of June 30, 2005, shall lapse as of that date.
SECTION 3. The sums appropriated in items 1 to 12 in section 1 of this Act shall be expended by the department of the accounting and general services; and the sum appropriated in item 13 of section 1 of this Act shall be expended by the department of transportation for the purposes of this Act.
SECTION 4. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2002.
