A BILL FOR AN ACT

 

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR A GRANT IN AID TO THE CITY AND COUNTY OF HONOLULU FOR JUDD STREET CONSTRUCTION PROJECT.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

SECTION 1. There is appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii the sum of $7,740,208, or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2002-2003, as a grant in aid to the City and County of Honolulu for the Judd Street construction project, as follows:

Roadway construction for 56

foot road right-of-way $2,122,320

Drainage system 508,000

Sewer system 115,000

Underground utility system 256,000

Adjustment of existing surface

Utilities 24,000

Subtotal construction costs $3,925,320

Contingency $1,177,596

Total estimated construction

cost including contingency $5,102,916

Land acquisition 2,217,000

Planning and engineering 510,292

Total Estimated Cost $7,740,208

SECTION 2. The sum appropriated shall be expended by the City and County of Honolulu for the purposes of this Act.

SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2002.
