A BILL FOR AN ACT

 

RELATING TO USE OF INTOXICANTS WHILE OPERATING A VEHICLE.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

SECTION 1. Section 291E-41, Hawaii Revised Statutes, is amended by amending subsection (d) to read as follows:

"(d) If a respondent has refused to be tested after being informed of the sanctions of this part, the revocation imposed under subsection (b)(1), (2), (3), and (4) shall be for a period of one year, two years, four years, and a lifetime, respectively. The respondent is ineligible for a conditional license permit as provided in 291E-44."

SECTION 2. New statutory material is underscored.

SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
