A BILL FOR AN ACT

 

relating to human services.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

SECTION 1. There is appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii the following sums or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal biennium 2001-2003, for the following human services programs:

FY 01-02 FY 02-03

1. Blue print for change $662,459 $662,450

Delivery of diversion services and child protective services to target families

2. Adult Friends for Youth $200,000 $200,000

Gang prevention, crime and drug prevention, and troubled youth rehabilitation programs in schools

3. Home safety monitoring program $125,000 $125,000

Help frail elderly prevent falls in their homes

SECTION 2. The sums appropriated shall be expended by the department of human services for the purposes of this Act.

SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2001.
